7 ideas to begin planning —
Today is Sunday, June 26, 2022.
A new month is coming quickly & for all of the planner-users (like myself) here’s the start to our new planner for the year!
Here’s some questions I have for you on this beautiful day…
Have you ever thought that there’s just not enough time in a day — or even a week? Seriously - What is time? If someone has enough of that thing - please feel free to share. 😉
Do you find yourself buying planners because they’re ‘cute’ and you’re totally going to do it this time? (Doing ‘it’ meaning: Organize the chaos or even just trying to find the simplest things to write down because you’ve always just wanted to). I am GUILTY.
If those planners are still sitting right where you left them — let’s pick them up. Grab something to write with as well. I want to share with you some stuff I have in my planner in hopes to help you to organize your days a little bit. 🙂
I seriously would forget my head if it wasn’t attached to my body somedays. I am not perfect by any means.
So, Let’s begin!
I use my planner every single day of my life to keep up with what is going on in my household. For example, every Tuesday I write TRASH for trash pick-up because I am the WORST at remembering to walk the cans up to the road. It’s the simple things that always seem to get pushed to the backburner. 😂
I use my planner for:
Trash Day - it may seem silly but write it down!
Every day of the week that one (or all) of the kids have something to do, I will write their name on the calendar & flip to the week page and write a description, so I don’t forget.
Every morning after I take my medicine I write “meds” with a checkmark so if I forget during the day I can look back.
Appointments, including scheduling weeks in advance for doctor/dentist/hair/etc.
Reminders for husband - as needed
Events for church, school, sporting events, or family functions
Family/friend birthdays
Go ahead and fill your planner up with this list of ideas above. You will be surprised on how much your pages will grow! Also, you will be surprised about how much thinking you’ve already done for yourself on the days that you feel like you need a break! Lookie there, you gave yourself one. 👍
For the beginners, practice this and share with me your strengths/weaknesses that you’re coming across during your planning journey.
For the ones that have 1 full planner or even 20 on their bookshelf, share with me your crazy schedules & your ideas as well!
As always, thanks for reading!
Forever,
Paige
